Portal thermal cutting machine (PTCM) is designed to automatically cut sheet metal using given drafts and numeric program control. The machine allows to cut out compound parts with pinpoint accuracy and high butt-end cutting quality. Depending on the version machine has 3 to 5 movement coordinates which allows to cut out parts simultaneously beveling curvilinear edges. The machine can be equipped with both with air plasma metal cutting devices PURM and other devices with special plasmatrons for automatic plasma cutting. Working zone of the cutting process falls within the range of 1.5x3.0 - 3.0x12.0 m.

Characteristics of numeric program control device:
a) input of control programs - keyboard, USB port. Downloading and unloading control programs are done in dialog mode of menu system;
b) design version - monoblock (processor, communication card with sensors, energy dependent operating memory and energy independent permanent memory, rewritable memory (Flash disc), membrane keyboard, color LCD, power supply);
c) supply voltage 220V, 50Hz. Consumed power, no more than 400W;
d) performed types of interpolation: linear and circle around coordinates X and Y.
e) correction function and tangential control by wZ coordinate in interpolation mode with X and Y coordinates;
f) amount of controlled coordinates with positional feedback - 4: ( 5th coordinate of cutter's turn around axis X is controlled by digital drive)*
g) proportional control of coordinate Z by signal of distance or arc voltage sensor.
